I have been laying hedges for a few years. I find it one of the most challenging and rewarding countryside skills. I was taught using the Midlands style and have since learnt Southern Counties style from the masters of Surrey Hedgelaying Group.

I have since learnt how to lay Devon hedges and whilst not as neat and tidy they certainly are just as rewarding when laid properly.

I offer a hedge laying service in Torridge, West Devon and North Cornwall.

 

Prices start at £5 per metre, which is the standard payment made to landowners in Countryside Stewardship and Higher Level Stewardship. Extra costs will be incurred for amount of material to be cleared from the hedge and tidied up and also for fence removal and reconstruction.
